Résumé :	European Commission : Gender equality is an important issue for the EU and evidence shows that ethnic minority women are more vulnerable to social exclusion and poverty than women of the native population and minority men. This report examines the situation of women belonging to disadvantaged minority groups, with a particular focus on Roma women, in a variety of areas - education, housing, health, employment, social benefits etc. It also outlines legislative and policy responses which have proven effective in bettering their situation.
